Everyone at ProSkate is thrilled for the University of Alberta Ringette team who are the 2011/ 2012 National Champions! U of A won their first ever national title in London last week after several silver and bronze medals. We are incredibly proud of these girls and their coaching staff. 

U of A went 6 and 1 through out the round robin portion of the 5 day tournament. They then went on to defeat the University of Ottawa Gee Gee's in the semi finals before claiming gold with a 4-1 defeat of the Mt. Royal University Canadians!

"The U of A has attended the Canadian University Challenge Cup on 8 previous occasions, having won bronze and silver previously, but 2012 marked the first time a championship gold finish was achieved.

The 2012 University Challenge Cup featured 14 university teams from across Canada vying for supremacy over the course of 5 days in London.
